On Tuesday, Adrian Peterson returned to the Vikings. On Wednesday, he was thrilling young fans.
The star running back joined his teammates on a visit to Falcon Heights Elementary School. Peterson, back with the team after missing 15 games last season because of a child-abuse incident, signed autographs in third- and fifth-grade classes.
One kid perhaps was more excited than any other: fifth-grader Jaquil White.
"I had one particular student that I wanted to make a connection with Adrian, and he's a strong football player," said Falcon Heights principal Beth Behnke. "So when Adrian walked in, he fell back on his chair and he cried.
