Tom Pelissero of USA Today is reporting that Vikings DT Sharrif Floyd‘s NFL career is in jeopardy due to complications from a knee surgery he had last year.
According to Pelissero, the nerve that controls Floyd’s quadriceps was disrupted during surgery to repair Floyd’s meniscus in his right knee. Unfortunately, Floyd’s quad still isn’t firing, even though it’s been almost six months since the procedure.
Floyd’s agent wouldn’t comment on the report, but told Pelissero that he’s still rehabbing and hoping to return sometime soon.
“Sharrif is rehabbing, has seen some of the best doctors in the country, will continue to rehab and hopefully, this will heal sooner than later,” said Floyd’s agent, Brian Mackler.
