The injury-depleted Vikings at least had some safeties able to practice Tuesday.
On Monday, none of the four safeties on the 53-man roster took the field. The Vikings addressed that by signing free agent Shaun Prater and elevating Anthony Harris off the practice squad, and Andrew Sendejo (knee) returned on a limited basis.
Still, Minnesota's defense is in bad shape entering Thursday's game at Arizona. Not able to practice all week were nose tackle Linval Joseph (foot), linebacker Anthony Barr (groin) and safety Harrison Smith (hamstring), all starters, and safety Robert Blanton (knee) and linebacker Brandon Watts (rib).
