Vikings' defense 'broke a little bit' in late loss to Lions

MINNEAPOLIS -- Before Sunday, the last time the Minnesota Vikings had blown a lead in the final minute of a game was Oct. 19, 2014, in a game that would provide teachable moments by the bushel for a first-year head coach and his young team.

The Vikings lost 17-16 that day when Kyle Orton marched the Bills 80 yards in 15 plays, aided by a fourth-and-20 conversion when Chad Greenway was a step late in covering Scott Chandler after trying to get Captain Munnerlyn lined up, and a 28-yard gain when Xavier Rhodes didn't get tight enough coverage on Chris Hogan.
