The Minnesota Vikings might be without their long snapper in Week 10.
With one of their final picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings decided to select former Air Force long snapper, Austin Cutting.
It was a bit of a puzzling choice since most teams typically don’t spend a draft pick on a long snapper. Since 2015, a grand total of six long snappers have been selected in the NFL Draft, including Cutting.
But the Vikings had a high amount of interest in Cutting and they didn’t want to take a chance on him getting signed by another team once the draft ended.
