Captain Munnerlyn received an award Thursday from the media, and one day he wants to join the media.
The Vikings cornerback was honored with the Korey Stringer Good Guy Award, chosen by the Twin Cities chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America. The award, named after the Vikings tackle who died in 2001, goes to the Minnesota player considered the most cooperative and having the best attitude with the media.
"It was an honor to get the award," Munnerlyn said. "All I heard was great things about Korey, and to get the award, it was mind-blowing when I first heard about it.
