It was a big thrill for Zach Moore last season to face his hometown Chicago Bears. It might happen again Sunday.
Moore, a second-year defensive end from Concordia-St. Paul, was called up by the Vikings on Saturday from the practice squad. To make room on the roster, defensive end Scott Crichton, who suffered a concussion and neck injury Dec. 10 at Arizona, was placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Moore, a Chicago native who grew up a big Bears fan, had a half sack against them last season for New England. His second chance to face them is in line to happen at TCF Bank Stadium.
