On Wednesday, the Minnesota Vikings announced that they were bringing back another of their in-house free agents.
Running back and key special teamer Ameer Abdullah is returning to the Vikings on a one-year deal, the financial terms of which were not immediately disclosed.
With Mike Boone having moved on to the Denver Broncos, Abdullah currently stands as the team’s #3 running back behind Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison. He also currently serves as the Vikings’ primary kick returner and plays a lot on special teams. In fact, over the past two seasons, no member of the Vikings has played more special teams snaps than Abdullah has.
