With the Vikings already carrying a king’s gambit going into the 2021 NFL Draft, they have been awarded two compensatory picks as well because of their free agency losses thus far, including the recent releases of Kyle Rudolph and Dan Bailey. One of the Vikings comp picks is the 38th pick of the fourth round (144th overall), and the other is the 39th pick of the sixth round (223rd overall).
The Vikings now own a total of 12 picks in this year’s draft, including seven in the first four rounds. Here is the total breakdown of their picks:
One first-round pick
Two third-round picks
Four fourth-round picks
Two fifth-round picks
Two sixth-round picks
One seventh-round picks
These extra two picks, especially that fourth rounder, could allow the Vikings to move around in the draft even easier if they so choose to go that route.
