MANKATO, Minn. -- Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said he planned to keep his offensive line intact for at least the first four days of training camp. Considering Mike Harris was still running with the first team at right guard during Friday's Day 5, he must be doing a good job.
"He's looked surprisingly good in there," said offensive coordinator Norv Turner.
It was a surprise when Harris was made the leading candidate to start on the first day of camp Sunday. Harris shifted over from right tackle, where he finished last season as the starter.
From high school through his third NFL season in 2014, Harris played one game at guard.
