MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings announced on Thursday the creation of a seven-person advisory board to aid their efforts to connect with female fans and employees.
The board, which includes Minnesota Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen and female executives in business, media and education positions around the Twin Cities, will focus on improving how the team engages with female fans, impacts the community and facilitates growth for women in the workforce.
"Women are critical to the success of the Vikings both internally and externally as they comprise a significant portion of our fan base and play a valuable role in multiple positions throughout the organization,” Vikings chief operating officer Kevin Warren said in a statement.
