On Tuesday, the Minnesota Vikings held their final press conference before the 2019 NFL Draft takes place this Thursday. The final announcement of the press conference caused a lot of emotion in Eagan, and with good reason.
Rick Spielman has announced that Scott Studwell, who has been a part of the Vikings’ organization for over four decades, would be officially retiring.
Studwell first came to the Vikings as a player, as the purple drafted him in the ninth round of the 1977 NFL Draft out of the University of Illinois. He spent 14 seasons with the Vikings as a player, and he retired in 1990 as the team’s all-time leading tackler.
