With their playoff hopes on life support, the Minnesota Vikings are making one final change at the quarterback position in this 2023 season.
Kevin O’Connell has announced that the team will start Nick Mullens when they travel to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions in the regular season finale on Sunday afternoon.
This will be the third start of the season for Mullens, who also has two relief appearances under his belt this season. He took over for Josh Dobbs against Las Vegas and led the lone scoring drive of the game in a 3-0 victory, and this past Sunday he came in at halftime for an ineffective Jaren Hall in a 33-10 loss that, effectively, ended the competitive portion of the Vikings’ season.
