MANKATO -- Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner has a full toolbox again, including a trusty hammer that is hardly rusty.
He only deployed running back Adrian Peterson for one game in 2014 before a child abuse scandal banished the superstar for the rest of the season, leaving Minnesota without its offensive fulcrum.
But Peterson returned to the Vikings on June 2 and was quickly reintegrated into Turner's system, which debuted last year with Mike Zimmer's coaching regime.
"When he comes out here and I watch him, he's way ahead of everybody else," Turner said Monday. "This scheme thing is overrated.
