The goal is for Josh Benson to walk again. Adrian Peterson is optimistic it will happen.
Benson, 16, was paralyzed from the waist down last August in an ATV accident. A running back at Hinckley-Finlayson High School before his accident, Benson was honored last month with the 2015 Courage Award by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
On Thursday, Benson attended the Vikings practice that concluded offseason drills and received some inspirational words from Peterson.
"It was pretty good," Benson said. "It was fun. He just said, 'Keep your head up, believe in yourself.
