Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson is off probation in Texas nine months after plea bargaining a felony charge of child abuse down to misdemeanor reckless assault.
Peterson was given two years of probation in November after he pleaded no contest to resolve a case involving a May 2014 incident in which he hit his then 4-year-old son with a wooden switch.
However, Houston television station KHOU reported Wednesday that Peterson's probation was terminated July 30 by Montgomery County state district judge Kelly Case a day after defense attorneys had submitted a motion.
The probation was ended because the judge ruled Peterson to have fulfilled all the conditions necessary.
