Fiery Vikings coach Mike Zimmer jokes that sometimes he actually says nice things to his players.
One of those times came when he saw Adrian Peterson at practice Friday. He applauded what the running back has done this season.
"I told him how much I appreciated him, everything he does for us," Zimmer said. "His leadership, the way he comes out here to practice, the way he prepares, really everything. I'm impressed with him, just the way he does things all of the time."
After missing the final 15 games last season because of a child-abuse incident, Peterson has rushed for 1,006 yards in the first 10 games to lead the NFL.
