Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was with members of the team's staff Wednesday morning after a mental health incident at his home.
The team issued this statement: "Vikings representatives and the team's mental health professionals have been on-site at Everson Griffen's home since early this morning and are cooperating with law enforcement. Our only concern at this time is the safety and well-being of Everson and his family. We will have further comment at the appropriate time."
Coach Mike Zimmer reiterated team's statement that their concern is with Griffen and his family's safety. The situation is ongoing, and Zimmer said he spoke to the team about it before his press briefing.
