The Minnesota Vikings may not have Pro Bowl right tackle Brian O’Neill, but after more roster moves on Saturday, it appears that they may have backup OT Blake Brandel for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. About 24 hours prior to the start of their Wild Card game against New York, the Vikings activated Brandel off IR, per Chris Tomasson. In order to free up a roster spot, Minnesota waived center Greg Mancz.
Brandel went on IR back in December following Minnesota’s Week 14 loss to the Detroit Lions with a knee injury, but there has been confidence throughout the week that he would be able to return for the Vikings playoff run.
