It was a week ago that we got the news of the death of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson, who was a passenger in a car crash in his native Maryland that took his life and the lives of two of his high school teammates. Last night, a gathering that was meant to be a remembrance of their lives turned into another tragedy.
At a vigil outside of where Jackson and his teammates attended high school, Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, shots rang out and two people were shot. One victim was shot in the chest and later declared dead at a local medical facility, while the other was shot in the leg.
