The recent snowfalls in Minnesota have showcased the ability for the completed roof at U.S. Bank Stadium to shed snow without buildup. The unique design of the sloped roof will send snow down the roof and into snow gutters along the outside of the stadium’s perimeter keeping it from falling on the ground below. With 60% of the roof made up of transparent ETFE, more sunlight and radiant heat will be allowed through the roof, which combined with the natural rise of heat from inside the stadium will help melt the snow and ice

The latest stadium aerial photos highlight what the roof looks like after a snowfall with snow being diverted into the gutters.
