Minnesotans traveling the main arteries through Minneapolis-St. Paul will soon see the installation of U.S. Bank Stadium highway signage. Beginning in May, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will remove five Metrodome signs located on both directions of I-35W, both directions of I-94, and eastbound I-394 and replace them with U.S. Bank Stadium signage within two months.
The new signs, which have been purchased by the MSFA, will be brown with white lettering, the standard background color for guide and informational signage related to recreational or cultural interest.
And before you ask, fans unfortunately will not be able to purchase the Metrodome signs given the damage and poor condition they will be in after removal.
