Tom Powers: Vikings happy with win, not so much with Rams' dirty dealings

Apparently, St. Louis Rams defenders are gentlemen of questionable character who cross the line that separates competitiveness from dirty play.

"Yes," said Mike Zimmer.

Some believe they deliver late hits on the quarterback and generally try to hurt people.

"I won't elaborate, but yes I do," Zimmer said.

So it was sweet for the Vikings that they were able to stay composed and come away with a ferociously contested 21-18 overtime victory Sunday. Afterward, Zimmer still had steam coming out of his ears. His quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, left the game with a concussion after taking what certainly looked like a cheap shot from the Rams' Lamarcus Joyner early in the fourth quarter.
