CANTON, Ohio -- Mick Tingelhoff has waited for this moment since he retired 37 years ago. It's no wonder he wore a big smile when he walked into the Canton Civic Center on Thursday night.
The legendary former Vikings center will be inducted Saturday night into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But the Gold Jacket Ceremony at the Civic Center marked the start of Hall of Fame weekend, which will culminate Sunday night when the Vikings play Pittsburgh in the Hall of Fame Game.
"I'm excited,'' Tingelhoff said of his impending induction. "I'm really looking forward to it.
