The 2005 NFL draft will forever be The Aaron Rodgers Draft.
The most famous image from that day was Rodgers impatiently sitting in the green room until the Green Bay Packers took him with the 24th pick. And the most enduring story from that draft is that 23 different times teams passed on a future Hall-of-Fame quarterback. The team that most famously passed on Rodgers was the San Francisco 49ers. They took quarterback Alex Smith first overall. Smith hasn't been bad, but he hasn't been a multiple MVP or Super Bowl champion like Rodgers either.
