The Vikings Had a “Plan B” in the 2020 Draft if Justin Jefferson Wasn’t Available

Typically, the NFL Draft is extremely unpredictable, and things rarely go exactly according to plan for a team. This is why it is extremely important for teams to have a “Plan B”, or even a “Plan Z”, and go through their due diligence on as many prospects as they can, just in case the players they want are not available.

One recent draft pick that went about as well as the Vikings could have hoped for was the selection of Justin Jefferson with the 22nd overall pick in 2020 NFL Draft. After trading away Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills earlier that offseason, the Vikings went into the draft hoping to find a new star receiver, and they certainly did so with the LSU product.
