A plume of smoke could be seen late Friday morning at the site.
The construction firm working on project confirmed there had been fire, which workers extinguished immediately.
The workers were welding metal decks and sparks fell onto nearby insulation material, said a representative from Mortenson.
Apparently the blaze didn't come from construction workers furiously texting "#VoteDozier" on their phones before today's MLB All-Star voting deadline.
