Many of us dreamed of seeing the none-too-luxurious Metrodome crumble in spectacular fashion but had to settle for orderly disassembly -- until Wednesday's Twins-Red Sox game, when the New England Sports Network apparently took matters into its own hands with repurposed and doctored video.
The game wasn't televised here, but it aired in Boston. Deadspin.com took note of an in-game segment in which the announcers discussed their memories of the Dome while footage of its demise played.
"And there is the implosion," one of them said. "There it is, goodbye!"
The trouble? That never happened.
