MINNEAPOLIS -- With Pat Shurmur taking the reins of the Minnesota Vikings' offense, the team is making some changes to its coaching staff.
According to two league sources, the Vikings have fired quarterbacks coach Scott Turner after three seasons in Minnesota. Turner, the son of former Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner, stayed with the team after his father resigned on Nov. 2. Shurmur became the interim coordinator after Turner resigned and will have the interim tag removed from his title soon, according to a league source.
The younger Turner was instrumental in the drafting and development of Teddy Bridgewater, whom the Vikings selected 32nd overall in 2014.
