Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Shamar Stephen has been placed on the active/non-football-injury list to start training camp, but don’t expect him to stay there long.

Stephen reported for camp wearing a large bandage on his swollen knee but head coach Mike Zimmer has indicated that the injury is not serious and Stephen should be ready to go in a few days.
A 7th round pick out of Connecticut in 2014, Stephen performed well in his rookie year and is expected to once again be an important part of the Vikings’ defensive line rotation.
