The 2024 season has seen quite the renaissance for Sam Darnold, and on Thursday the Minnesota Vikings’ starting quarterback was recognized for his play to start the season.
Darnold has been named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for September. This is the first monthly award of Darnold’s career.
Darnold has been a huge part of the Vikings’ 4-0 start to the 2024 NFL season, the first time the purple have started a season 4-0 since 2016. He leads the NFL in touchdown passes with 11 (nobody else has more than 8 through the first four weeks) and is completing 68.
