Sam Bradford among Vikings who could hit incentives, salary escalators

MINNEAPOLIS -- While the Minnesota Vikings' season finale against the Chicago Bears carries no playoff implications, it could lead to a nice year-end payday for several players on the roster.

A number of Vikings veterans are within striking distance of incentives or salary escalators, based either on playing time or performance standards. Quarterback Sam Bradford, whose contract calls for a $1 million salary escalator in 2017 based on playing time, has the most significant boost available to him. Bradford needs to play 90 percent of his team's offensive snaps to earn the $1 million bump, and he's played 93.
