Riki Ellison has no future as an NFL insider. A week after Rhett Ellison’s dad posted that his son was leaving the Vikings, Rhett has signed a new deal to return to the team. The Vikings announced the move on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Ellison is currently rehabbing from a torn patellar tendon suffered in the 2015 regular season finale against the Green Bay Packers.
A fourth-round pick of the Vikings in 2012 out of USC, Ellison has developed into a strong blocking tight end who can occasionally make a play for you as a receiver.
