Report: Vikings sign former first-round wide receiver

Heading into the 2016 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings had their eye on a few young receivers. The Vikings reportedly had a lot of interest in former TCU receiver Josh Doctson, but he ended up getting drafted by the Washington Redskins before Minnesota could make their first selection.

Instead of Doctson, the Vikings were left with drafting former Ole Miss receiver Laquon Treadwell. The Treadwell pick turned out to be a flop as Minnesota recently decided to part ways with the underwhelming pass catcher.

Interestingly enough, Doctson’s time with the Redskins didn’t end up working out either and he was also let go when Washington made their final cuts on Saturday.
