Roster shuffling is just part of every season for the Minnesota Vikings and it’s no different this year. Even after the Vikings set their final 53-man roster at the end of August, they still added and let go of some players before kicking off their season against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
One of the recent moves Minnesota made was the signing of free-agent wide receiver Josh Doctson. In order to make room for Doctson on their roster though, the Vikings had to clear a spot and they decided to do this by releasing reserve offensive lineman Brett Jones.
