2016: Tankersley started all 15 games in his fourth season for Clemson. He recorded 52 tackles (39 solo), 6.0 tackles for loss, 11 passes broken up and four interceptions. Tankersley was a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award and Bednarik Award. He was named First-Team All-American by Pro Football Focus and USA Today, received First-Team All-ACC honors by coaches and the media, and was named to to ESPN’s All-Bowl Team.
