MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings right tackle Phil Loadholt is out for the season after tearing his left Achilles tendon during the team's second preseason game on Aug. 15. But the right tackle said Monday he believes he'll be back for training camp in 2016.
Loadholt said his rehab is on schedule, adding he'll soon be out of the walking boot he had on his left foot as he spoke to reporters on Monday. From there, Loadholt will begin rehab work to regain strength and flexibility in his foot, and if all goes well, he's hopeful he can return next season.
