Patrick Peterson to Announce Retirement on Monday

Christopher Gates has been the lead writer at The Daily Norseman since the site launched in July of 2006, covering the Minnesota Vikings day in and day out.

One of the top cornerbacks of this generation and a man who spent a couple of seasons recently with the Minnesota Vikings is officially hanging up the cleats.

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that cornerback Patrick Peterson will be in Arizona on Monday to retire as a member of the team that drafted him, the Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona selected Peterson with the fifth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of LSU, and he spent his first ten NFL seasons with the Cardinals.
