In six weeks, Adrian Peterson will make the 90-minute drive from the Twin Cities to Mankato for his 10th training camp with the Vikings.
Peterson says he does not typically look forward to those long, steaming-hot summer practices. But with the Vikings seemingly poised to compete for a Lombardi Trophy this season, Peterson said today that he is actually looking forward to reporting to Mankato — well, at least a little bit.
"I'll probably be a little more excited, but I'm never excited to go to training camp. It's always until I drive into Mankato and it's like, 'OK, the reality is there.
