The Minnesota Vikings have run into a number of problems on their way to a 1-4 record to begin the 2023 NFL season.
They have consistently lost the turnover battle, and they cannot establish a consistent running game, which in turn has led a vast disparity in time of possession in favor of Minnesota’s opponents through five weeks.
Another reason why the Vikings haven’t been able to win four of their first five games has to do with how they are beginning matchups. So far in 2023, opening drives have been a disaster zone for Minnesota.
