Thanks to the Atlanta Falcons defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, the Green Bay Packers will not be participating in the 2017 NFL playoffs when they begin in three weeks. It will be the first time since 2008 that the Packers will not be one of the six NFC teams to play in the postseason.
With their chance for the playoffs now gone after Monday and nothing much left to play for this year, Green Bay decided on Tuesday to place quarterback Aaron Rodgers back on injured reserve.
