The Vikings needed safety help last week thanks to multiple injuries at the position and Shaun Prater provided that assistance.
As a reward for his contribution, the Vikings on Monday waived Shaun Prater.
Oh and he got paid money for the game too, so that’s good!
Prater’s release left an open roster spot which the Vikings have filled by bringing back defensive end Justin Trattou, who was cut before last Thursday’s game to make room for Prater.
The move to waive Prater and bring back Trattou would seem to indicate that the Vikings are going to get at least one of their injured safeties back this week.
