Some bad news came out of the first preseason game for the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, August 10, 2017 when a couple of injuries took players out of the week 1 preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.
Among those who went down with injuries in the game was running back Bishop Sankey. Injuring his knee and not returning to the game, it was later announced that the rusher had torn his ACL and would be placed on injured reserve.
In order to fill out the roster, Minnesota added a new running back to the team.
