Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reports that the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a contract with free agent Lions linebacker Travis Lewis.
The 28-year-old Lewis was a seventh round pick of the Lions out of Oklahoma in 2012. He was strictly a special teams player/backup for Detroit his first three seasons but ascended to starting status in 2015, finishing the year with ten tackles and one sack in 141 snaps.
Lewis probably fits best in the Vikings’ scheme as a Will linebacker but we’ll have to wait to hear what Mike Zimmer says about that.
