Word coming from the Minnesota Vikings and their supposedly in-the-know media minions is that the team is happy to go ahead with T.J. Clemmings at RT in place of the injured Phil Loadholt, so don’t expect them to look at any outside options.

But a report from ESPN insider Ed Werder suggests the Vikings already have looked at outside options, which can only lead us to conclude that they’re not as comfortable with Clemmings as we’re being led to believe.
According to Werder, had former Lions and Colts tackle Gosder Cherilus not signed with the Tampa Buccaneers on Monday, the Vikings would have brought the journeyman in for a visit.
