Being a member of the Minnesota Vikings isn’t all about kicking butt on a football field. Recently, we’ve talked about some of the great things that the team does, including the (attempted) playground build and the visit with elementary school students. The Vikings don’t have to limit their interaction with the youth of the nation to schools though, as several of the players hit the lakes on Saturday for the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Mounted Possse’s 12th Annual “Take a Kid Fishing Day” on East Jefferson and German Lakes.
This year’s Take A Kid Fishing Day was done in honor of Bob Geldner, a member of the Mounted Posse who allowed his property to be used for the event.
