Minnesota Vikings interested in finding a new slot corner for 2018

There are not a ton of areas in which the Minnesota Vikings’ defense needs to improve in heading into next season. But there are still some things that need to be tweaked and added this offseason.

One of those will be finding someone to takeover the role as the team’s permanent slot cornerback in 2018. Mackensie Alexander and Terence Newman took turns in the slot last season, but apparently the Vikings are interested in finding someone else for 2018.

Minnesota’s new guy for the role could come through free agency according to 1500 ESPN’s Shawn Zobel on Monday.
