1500 ESPN reported this morning that Minnesota would cut Loeffler and hand the long-snapper job to Kevin McDermott. Loeffler had been the team’s longest-tenured player with 11 seasons and 171 games under his belt.

Loeffler was signed to a one year deal early this offseason but the team still elected to bring in Kevin McDermott for competition. Because who doesn’t love a good long-snapper battle?
