Blowing the Gjallarhorn is a pre-game tradition that has long been a part of Minnesota Vikings games.
Injured Vikings fullback Rhett Ellison was set to blow the Gjallarhorn ahead of today’s Vikings-Seahawks playoff game but that won’t happen now because the sub-zero temperatures in Minneapolis caused the Gjallarhorn to shatter.
No kidding. It’s so cold in Minneapolis that the Gjallarhorn became compromised and broke apart.
And there are people who paid money to sit there in the seats today.
The #Vikings #Gjallarhorn is shattered from the cold temps before today’s #SEAvsMIN game.
