Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers: First quarter recap and second quarter discussion

The first quarter is in the books at Lambeau Field, and things have been pretty awful for the good guys, as the Minnesota Vikings find themselves trailing the Green Bay Packers by a score of 14-0.

Things got off to a pretty awful start for the Vikings, as the Packers took the ball after the opening kickoff and marched 75 yards in just four plays, finding the end zone on a 15-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to running back Jamal Williams. The drive started with a 39-yard connection from Rodgers to Davante Adams, and things didn’t get a whole lot better after that as the Vikings found themselves down 7-0 early.
